Testament's sophomore release continues where the first started. Riffage, aggression, great solos, memorable choruses. Everything one could expect from a great thrash album!

Eugene S. - 14/Jul/2023 5 of 5 Stars!
The second studio album by American thrash metal band Testament, released on May 5, 1988. Reviews for The New Order have generally been favorable. AllMusic's Alex Henderson awards the album four-and-a-half stars out of five, and claims that Testament "delivered its best offering ever" and describes it as "every bit as brutally forceful as The Legacy."

Aleksandr N. - 24/Jan/2022 5 of 5 Stars!
The second album of the legendary American thrash metal band, powerful and melodic. Great stuff, classic! 1010

Oh, if it were not for Metallica of 1983-1986 and Megadeth "Peace Sells ...", then this powerful album could rightly be called the main metal revelation of the 80s. It has much more than everything :) The 88th Testament sound attracts with its colorful weight. Listening to this work of art, you understand what it should be, this is the “hardest music”. Produced material brilliantly, and indeed it is surprising that the team worked for him not so much time. All things are real super-action films, with the exception of Hypnosis. The songs are micron-balanced, aggressive, melodic, harsh riffs and calm rhythms and, of course, Billy’s “steel” vocals. One of the required milestones in Metal Higher Education.
