The second studio album by American heavy metal band Skid Row, released on June 11, 1991. The album was certified 2× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1998 for shipping two million copies in the United States.

If the debut was phenomenal, then all subsequent albums are descending. Yes, the album Slave to the Grind is not bad and even in it the "heaviness" of the sound has been slightly added. But he really came out late, the era of glam got other heroes.

There are some groups of seconds of insight. Guns’n’Roses once saw the light of firing incomparable “Use You Illusion” - almost three hours of great music, while all their previous and subsequent projects were not all in their heads, but a whole body lower. At Skid Row, the moment of enlightenment was “Slave to Grind”. Of the three albums of this team, he is the only sane. More precisely, even this way: their first and third albums can simply not be bought - this is a waste of money and time. But the second album can be proudly put on the place of honor in the collection, next to Led Zeppelin IV, “Machine Head” Deep Purple and “Keepers of the Seven Keys” Helloween. For the quality of the album to match the listed masterpieces. What sort of labor blacks, Sebastian Bach from Skid Row, that's who sings really aggressive. With a general hard-n-sounding album, Bach betrays such anger that the album can successfully raise a crowd for a revolution. Throughout the album, it does not repeat - even in one song a dozen timbres and intonations are replaced. Bach can squeal, growl and scream, but he will still sing. Sing in your strong and memorable voice. Twelve beautiful songs, three of which are very even naughty ballads (in which Bach is not malicious, but simply sarcastic) are masterfully performed, but not very well recorded. However, this is the misfortune of many masterpieces: as long as the group does not have money for a high-quality recording, it has energy and purposefulness. And Skid Row also managed to transfer this energy in their songs.
