Description:Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse, released 28 May 1990, includes the following tracks: "Ride My Llama", "Sail Away", "Welfare Mothers", "Hey Hey, My My (into The Black)" and more. This version of Rust Never Sleeps comes as a 1xCD. -
Never one to follow protocol, Neil's 1979 album featured new songs recorded live during his '78 tour with Crazy Horse. The now legendary record (with a title inspired by Devo and a sound invigorated by the punk movement), was originally split into separate acoustic and electric sides, and possibly best exemplifies two very different sides of Young. Includes Thrasher; Powderfinger; Hey Hey, My My (into the Black), and more.
This version is with SID-codes and exists with two types of rings around the center hole. The otherwise identical version without SID codes that predates this is [r=9316868]. Released in a standard black tray jewel case, with a stamped W logo on the front. Includes a 12-page booklet with credits and lyrics, and a tray card. Although tray card reads "Manufactured in Germany by Record Service GmbH, Alsdorf", the "WME" in the matrix strings reveals that it was in fact manufactured by [l=WMME Alsdorf]. HYUNG RAE K. - 06/Dec/2020 3 of 5 Stars!
One of the essential albums of Neil Young's career. The first half is acoustic and will remind you of his first album or stuff from Harvest. It is the second half that really cooks. Crazy Horse joins him on four songs that rock like there is no tomorrow.

If you could only own one Neil Young record this would definitely be one of the better options. While a live album it contains all new songs up to that point and does sound more like a studio album. We get one amazing half of acoustic songs and one also amazing half of electric songs with the Crazy Horse and the band is really on fire here. You have some of Neil's best songs (Hey hey My my, Powderfinger) along with some of my more obscure favorites (Thrasher, Pocahontas, Sedan Delivery). Essential!!
