This release is in a foldout digipak with a slipcover & comes with a 12 page booklet."Relayer" is a landmark progressive rock album by the legendary British band Yes, released in 1974 and now available on CD from Rhino. This ambitious record features three extended tracks that showcase the band's virtuosity, complex arrangements, and imaginative soundscapes. Notably, "The Gates of Delirium," inspired by Tolstoy's "War and Peace," stands as one of Yes?s most epic compositions. The lineup for this album includes Jon Anderson (vocals), Chris Squire (bass), Steve Howe (guitar), Alan White (drums), and Patrick Moraz on keyboards?his only studio appearance with the band. Yes has been at the forefront of progressive rock since their formation in 1968, known for classics like "Fragile" and "Close to the Edge." Their innovative approach earned them multiple platinum albums and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Rhino Records is renowned for its high-quality reissues and dedication to preserving iconic music catalogs across genres. | | Producer: |

Eugene S. - 02/Jan/2024 The seventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released in November 1974. Relayer received a mixed to positive reception from contemporary and retrospective critics. It reached No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 5 on the US Billboard 200. I recommend.
| | Evgeny K. - 29/Mar/2021 Still like the music but it’s like this remix cd has been recorded with Dolby on. Lacking in bass, and the treble is harsh, sometimes bordering on a distorted mess.
| | Alexander S. - 15/Feb/2020 Wakeman’s absence has always benefited Yes. So, “Relayer” was able to record as “Close To The Edge” should have sounded. There is no longer the pathos that was on the previous two albums, much less “atmospheric” (read “empty”) keyboard passages, the music became freer, more energetic.
"Sound chaser" is, in my opinion, the top of the album. Never before or after Yes could I put so much energy into a song. And the Howe solo is in the middle, where Morricone organically intertwines with Bach. Squire on "Relayer" is just awesome - he and Howe are doing the whole album. Only drums seemed a little boring.
All these superlatives relate to the first two songs, but "To Be Over" ... I perceive the last song as the calm after the storm. The same contemplative number was on "Close To The Edge", but on "Relayer" this is now very out of place.
The best, in my opinion, album of Yes.
| | Evripidis T. - 31/Mar/2014 It is not "Fragile" or "close to the edge" but it's the next best thing in progressive rock!! Anderson's voice shines and the band is in top form!! The remastered edition comes with bonus tracks in a digipack with much information!! Classic!!
| | Volodymyr Z. - 07/Apr/2015 SUPER album, super band, super release! I am very satisfied!
