To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the concerts filmed for Stop Making Sense, a deluxe version of the soundtrack will be released which will include the complete Stop Making Sense concert for the first time. It will feature every song performed in the film, including two that have never been released ?? ??Cities? and ??Big Business / I Zimbra.? The limited edition vinyl version features a 28-page booklet with previously unpublished photos along with new liner notes from all four band members ??Tina Weymouth, David Byrne, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison. - .. SENSE / INCL. 7 BONUS TRACKS15th Anniversary Remastered Edition includes all of the songs from Jonathan Demme's landmark documentary film of the same name, plus seven additional previously unreleased live tracks. The album was an artistic and commercial triumph when it arrived in September 1984. The film had people dancing in theatre aisles while the soundtrack sold over two million copies. Just last year, the Library of Congress added 'Stop Making Sense' to the National Film Registry in recognition of it's cultural, historical, and aesthetic significance.Re-release of the original 1984 LP with addition of all those songs from the film "Stop Making Sense" that were not previously included on the LP. Issued in a clear tray jewel case with 20-page booklet.
Recorded at The Pantages Theatre, Hollywood, December 1983 by The Record Plant Mobile. Re-recording for film at Can Am and Ocean Way, Los Angeles and Right Track, New York.
