Description:United by Phoenix, released 19 February 2015, includes the following tracks: "Honeymoon", "Party Time", "Embuscade", "Definitive Breaks" and more. This version of United comes as a 1xLP. The vinyl is pressed as a opaque disc. -
Vinyl LP pressing. 2000 debut album by the French electro-rock band. Includes the single 'Too Young'. The Face magazine said, 'Undoubtedly the best post-French house, '70ss Californian, country-rock concept album of modern love songs you'll ever likely to hear.'
? &© Source 2000, une division de Virgin Disques. Made in EU. The original pressing comes in two sleeve variations: Initial copies came in an "American style" oversize heavy cardboard sleeve. Subsequently the record was packed in a regular sleeve made of textured cardboard (this entry). According to information from the band itself, the record company or distributer panicked that record shops wouldn't be able to rack the oversized sleeves and thus withdrew them. The exact figures are not known. Includes a printed inner sleeve showing photos, titles & credits. There is also a mispress of this release, featuring side A on both sides. The record was rereleased on vinyl in 2015 in Europe and in the US.

Español ROBERTO F. - 02/Jun/2024 5 of 5 Stars!
United! The first album of the frantastic (bad pun) phoenix! From "If I Ever Feel Better" to "Too Young" this album reveals some phoenix's true potential. The combination of rock, jazz, pop, country, and punk shows how willing phoenix are ready to try new things, especially on their first studio record. This album manages to create some of phoenix's greatest hits and most remembered songs. While their songwriting at the time might not be as great as their second cousins The Strokes, they manage to make a combination of genres sound great on one album. "Party Time" is a great example of this. Despite this, I found the track "Funky Squaredance" sometimes to be a bit much and overshadow the rest of the album. Though, to conclude this album is truly one of the albums you can dance to, but still has substance. Lyrically, it is not as profound as some of phoenix's other tracks from different albums, but is still a favorite of mine.
