 | Description: | Vinyl LP repressing of this 1984 album from the British band fronted by the troubled genius that is Shane MacGowan. RED ROSES FOR ME was the band's debut album. It is filled with traditional Irish music performed with Punk influences. Traditional songs and ballads mixed with Shane MacGowan's 'gutter hymns' about drinking, fighting and sex was innovative at the time. Or as lead singer MacGowan explained the music: 'I couldn't believe that nobody else were doing it, so we went on doing it ourselves' Reissue with original artwork designs 'Red Roses For Me' uses the 2013 remix from the original multi-track tapes by Nick Robbins who was the original engineer of the album in 1984A brand new mix of the Pogues debut album cut from original flat analog masters.
