2007 digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition of the influential Manchester quartet's 1979 debut album. Joy Division's influence on modern music is not only based around the band's unique sound, but also their vision, their personalities and their intense and troubled vocalist, Ian Curtis who committed suicide on the eve of their first tour of the U.S. Disc One features the original album containing 10 tracks including 'Disorder', 'She's Lost Control' and 'Interzone'. Disc Two features 12 tracks recorded live at the Factory in Manchester, April of 1980. Rhino UK.
Both CDs are held in a gatefold cardboard digipack which in turn is held in a firm plastic sleeve sporting Collector's Edition at the bottom. The plastic sleeve features a bar code sticker which reads: "Re-mastered studio album with bonus disc of a previously unreleased live show from The Factory, Manchester". The release features almost the original Factory Records artwork. A black and white 20-page booklet featuring new band interviews, photos and track overviews is also held in the Digipak. This is an album that appeals to the respect of musicians, not just fans - this is a double CD for a little money - for all fans and those who are familiar with the music of the group JOY DIVISION - I recommend
