 | Description: | Kill It Kid by Kill It Kid, released 26 October 2009, includes the following tracks: "Ivy And Oak", "Send Me An Angel Down", "My Lips Won't Be Kept Clean", "Dirty Water" and more.
This version of Kill It Kid comes as a 1xCD. - 2009 debut from the British Pop quintet. For want of an easy comparison, a blend Tom Waits, Antony Hegarty, Gomez and the Raconteurs has been mentioned. But Kill It Kid have a sound very much of their own - an impassioned, adventurous slant on Blues and Dark Pop through powerful songs, gorgeous two-part vocals and a penchant for down-home storytelling. The dual vocals of Chris Turpin and Stephanie Ward, singing whiskey-soaked lullabies combined with forceful strings and strong percussion, make Kill It Kid a band crafting mature melodies wise beyond their years. The album was recorded in Seattle with Ryan Hadlock at his studio; the same space Fleet Foxes recorded their eponymous album. | | No. of tracks: |
