The third studio album by English new wave band Japan, first released on 17 November 1979. Quiet Life was the band's first album to chart and was later certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 100,000 copies. I recommend.

This is a CD reissue of classic 1979 album from Synth-pop band Japan, released by Sony BMG Music Entertainment in 2006. Digitally remastered, with four bonus tracks and bonus video Quiet Life.

Quiet Life is the album that transformed Japan from past-tense glam rockers into futuristic synth popsters, though they'd been leaning in that direction for a while. It's also a solid proto-New Romantic synthesizer record, enhanced by Mick Karn's superb fretless bass work and David Sylvian's smooth, sneering vocals spread over pop hits like the title track and "Fall in Love with Me."
