"Playing The Angel" is a critically acclaimed studio album by the legendary British electronic band Depeche Mode, released in 2005. Presented here in CD format and produced by Sony Music, this record marks a return to the darker, more introspective sound that has defined much of Depeche Mode's career. Featuring standout tracks like "Precious," "A Pain That I'm Used To," and "Suffer Well," the album explores themes of love, pain, and redemption with sophisticated production and haunting melodies. Depeche Mode have been pioneers in synth-pop and alternative music since their formation in 1980, selling over 100 million records worldwide and earning induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Their influence on modern music is immense, inspiring countless artists across genres. Sony Music, one of the world's leading music companies, is renowned for its commitment to artistic excellence and innovation.
As a teenager in mid 2000's, this album introduce me the sound of Depeche Mode and how big the band it was (and still is). There are so great songs and lyrics. Besides the classics, one of my favorite albums of DM.
