Extra-Infos:
Expanded Edition W/ Bonus Live Cd "staying A Life"
Description:
Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the German Metal band's 1983 album. Taking much of their inspiration from the likes of fellow German hard-rockers the Scorpions, as well as a debt to UK metal legends Judas Priest, Accept were fronted by the inimitable Udo Dirkschneider on vocals, backed by lead guitar heroes Wolf Hoffmann and Herman Frank. Controversial at the time for it's cover and some of the album's themes, it was also their greatest commercial success. The album is now backed by the bonus CD Staying a Life, a live album recorded at the Festival Hall, Osaka, Japan on 18th September 1985. As well as storming live versions of key tracks from Balls to the Wall, it features many Accept classics including 'Breaker', 'Princess of the Dawn', 'Restless And Wild', 'Son of a Bitch' and 'Fast As a Shark'. An expanded booklet features new liner notes from Classic Rock and Metal Hammer's Malcolm Dome, commissioned for this release.
"Balls To The Wall (2CD Expanded Edition)" is a deluxe reissue of Accept's iconic 1983 album, presented in an expanded two-disc format by Cherry Red. This edition features the remastered original album alongside a wealth of bonus material, including rare tracks and live recordings that showcase the band's raw energy and musical prowess. "Balls To The Wall" stands as one of heavy metal?s most influential records, renowned for its powerful riffs, anthemic choruses, and socially conscious lyrics. Accept, formed in Germany in the late 1970s, are celebrated pioneers of European heavy metal with classic albums like "Restless and Wild" and "Metal Heart." Their enduring legacy includes chart success worldwide and inspiring generations of metal bands. Cherry Red Records is known for their commitment to high-quality reissues across genres; they specialize in bringing classic albums back to life with extensive liner notes and exclusive content for collectors.
The album itself is an 80's hard rock/heavy metal classic and one of Accepts best albums. Some of music has a slightly more commercial sound than previous album Restless and Wild (which for me was there musical peak) although the production is clear, crisp and heavy (at least on the remastered version).
