Spot on, rock solid, mature, understated, and played with the studied finesse of one who knows the ropes and pushes the boundaries of dark, sepia-toned melodicism to the brink. This is Noel now in the present - swagger and grasp of the craft of songwriting still well intact and evolved yet still freshly engaging. Elegiac, beautiful. Nearly majestic classic pop-rock at its best.
