"Blasphemy Made Flesh" on CD is the ferocious debut album by Canadian death metal band Cryptopsy, released by Hammerheart Rec. A landmark of brutal and technically advanced death metal, this record helped redefine extremity in the 1990s underground. Across its tracks, Cryptopsy unleash hyper-speed drumming, razor-sharp riffing and guttural vocals that still feel overwhelming and precise decades later. The songwriting balances chaotic intensity with a dark sense of structure, making the album both punishing and memorable. For collectors and genre devotees, this CD edition offers a chance to own a foundational piece of extreme metal history that continues to influence bands worldwide.
Cryptopsy are renowned for pushing the boundaries of technical and brutal death metal, fusing dizzying tempo changes, intricate guitar work and relentless blast beats. Emerging from the fertile Montreal scene, they quickly earned a reputation as one of the most uncompromising and skilled bands in the genre, with "Blasphemy Made Flesh" widely regarded as one of the records that put them on the international map. Subsequent releases and extensive touring cemented their status as a reference point for musicians seeking the most extreme forms of metal, and their early output is frequently cited by contemporary bands as a cornerstone influence.
Hammerheart Rec. is known as a dedicated label for metal connoisseurs, with a particular focus on reissues, special editions and carefully curated releases from the broader extreme and classic metal spectrum. The label is appreciated for its attention to sound quality, packaging and historical importance, aiming to keep seminal albums available for new generations of listeners. With this CD release of "Blasphemy Made Flesh", Hammerheart Rec. once again underlines its role as a guardian of metal heritage, presenting a key recording in a form that respects both its legacy and its enduring impact.
Classic album. One of the best in Death Metal, original and unique. Aggression, inspiration and skill merged into one killer release. The best album of the group.
There are significant claims in the publication of digipack. Very flimsy edition, thin bendable digipack cardboard. The booklet paper is the thinnest possible, crumbles in the hands. If possible, I advise you to take a release in a jewel case, but not in a digipack.
5 star album. The quality of the pressing is 2 stars.

It's a good album but not as brutal as their debut.Vocals from lord worm are on high level and overall it's a descent album!
