CoF are the biggest storytellers in the world of extreme metal. Few people can give out so much artwork, so thoughtful and complete works. Spit on shortcuts if the music is talented!

This is amongst the best COF -works, not their best but offers some best songs ever released by the band such as: "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids" and "Portrait Of The Dead Countess".

Most people tend to mention this as the best Cradle of Filth album. I don't agree with them, but is a very good symphonic black metal work, still with a very raw feeling they would trade for a more polished sound in the years to come.
