Eugene S. - 30/08/2022 The third studio album by American thrash metal band Testament, released in August 1989. The album has been included in various best-of lists in the years since its release, including Guitar World's "The Top 10 Shred Albums of the Eighties" in 1999; the magazine's editor Mordechai Kleidermacher wrote, "With their fast-and-chunky riffs and scorched-earth solos, Testament's Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson show the world what true thrash-and-burn guitar terror is all about. I recommend.
| | Aleksandr N. - 24/01/2022 The third album of the legendary American thrash metal band, powerful and melodic. Great stuff, classic! 1010!
| | Bojan I. - 18/08/2020 Great album, no bad songs. Really really great album.
| | HYUNG RAE K. - 10/08/2019 3rd studio album, all song is great, My favorite song is Practice what you preach, Perilous nation, sins of omission etc.
| | Alexander S. - 25/06/2019 This album in my opinion (and in the opinion of most fans of the group) is the best in Testament's discography. It was in him the most organically combined aggression and melody. Gorgeous sound does not give bored, too. Stupid rubilovo? Hmmm ... Yes, damn it, on this album, Alex Skolnik gave a light to almost all thrash solo guitar players - from Paul Belloff to Kerry King! The most complicated guitar parts can be called "slaughter" either by a person, who is far from music in principle, or who does not know which side to approach the guitar! Objectively - the guitar work is great. Much more interesting, in my opinion, than on the album Metallica released a year later (although such a comparison here is perhaps inappropriate). With the fact that with each album the group is getting worse, I strongly disagree. What would happen to the now classic American thrash groups if they had played what they started with, the old-fashioned Bay Area Thrash? The question, of course, rhetorical ...
The group is progressing, which is noticeable with each of her new album. While old school thrash is gradually dying off, bands like Testament are looking for new musical forms, setting the stage for revolutionary groups in their own way, like Pantera and Machine Head. For which many thanks to them!
| | Paulos K. - 09/11/2017 Third great album in a row for legends Testament. With slowest rhythm than its precursors but with the same inspiration in leads and solos!
