Yes pretty much abandoned their prog rock influences in favor of a more synth oriented pop-rock. Still a great album, however.

Dank des Beitrags von Kurzzeit-Frontmann Trevor Horn als Produzent und neuem Gitarristen und Mit-Komponisten Trevor Rabin gelang YES eine notwendige Verwandlung, um das 80er-Jahre-Dilemma der meisten Prog-Rock-Bands elegant und ohne schmerzhafte Kompromisse für sich zu lösen. Dem Album hört man zwar das "Geburtsjahr" an, an der Musik kann man jedoch immer noch Spaß haben.
