2015 two CD collection. SAR was founded in Los Angeles in 1959 when Sam Cooke decided to combine singing with providing opportunities for others and teamed up with JW Alexander to do it. Unfortunately with the death of Cooke the label folded, but it is clear that SAR was a fascinating work in progress: this compilation hints at what might have been, with the likes of the Sims Twins, L.C. Cooke, Johnny Morissette and Jacki Ross.
