The album was breathtaking, memorable, melodious, and powerful. Said another way, Mercy Falls was Seventh Wonder's "Scenes from a Memory", but frankly they did it better than Dream Theater ever could. I most appreciate memorable melodies, where Mercy Falls excels.

The Great Escape was fourth album by Swedish prog metal band Seventh Wonder. This album contains 7 track only but they have a one track clocked about 30 minutes 14 sec. The song "The Great Escape" is the first (and so far only) song by the band to be longer than 10 minutes. It is an epic song based on the poems 'Aniara' by Swedish Nobel laureate Harry Martinson. This the second SW album i brought from here. So i'm enjoying the album and glad to have it as my collection. Highly recommended for fan of prog metal.

After publishing Mercy Falls, one of the greatest progressive metal concept releases of all times, what more could you expect from this band? Alas, this album matches its predecessor and loses only in the small parts. It combines easy and catchy tunes with complex song structures.
