One of the greatest album of 2010s. This is the best Prog-Melodeath sound I've ever heard. Even the lyrical theme is just awesome.

Another strong confirmation of this band from Andorra. Met them years ago while searching for their second album "Core". They kindly apologized for my difficulties in buying the album and sent me a copy from their stock. Then it was the start of a beautiful friendship and a growing of appreciation: they're an incredibly talented and inspired Death progressive metal band and at the same time humble muscians and artists. Their music is technical BUT never losing the emotional approach to melody itself.
You can find strong, furious Death metal parts perfectly suited into a fragile and delicate, beautiful lake of melodies. Approach to songs is based on long compositions, many times collected by a main theme. this appears a bit less in that album, songs seem to stay more as standalone and not as parts of a bigger vision; but this does not mean a weaker album, it's only a slightly different approach.
Persefone's music is not to be heard like a great iron maiden album; their music needs to be absorbed in its structure before being completely appreciated. Its easier aspect is hidden into a bit more ""complicate"" approach. Your attention will be surely rewarded by the acces to a rich musical universe.

The best Metal release of 2013! If you likes Shin - Ken this is something that you will adore! The songs create mixed feelings from hate to deep conscientious thinking!
