This is the first full length for Paradise Lost, basically is an excellent death metal album that continues the style of their initial demos. The sound is heavy and raw, different from their later albums; but you can enjoy it if you like metal.

Lost Paradise is the first album of Paradise Lost, and although it is the most raw by virtue of the strong death metal influence, it opens the road for the now classic Gothic. First step of a band with a very diverse, sometimes controversal, discography.

Absolutely uninteresting album was obtained by the British. Although it is considered a classic of the doom-det genre, but, as for me, it is not - doom retreats are very rare (when compared with the classic doom - Candlemass, Saint Vitus). There is a usual slow-motion child, though with an oppressive atmosphere. It can be seen that the guys still do not know how to play properly, and the composer's talent is lame. The sound is powerful enough, but dirty, just right for the atmosphere of the album. Vocals are hard growl / wheeze, apparently published for "gravity for gravity." There are no melodies as such, mostly riffing, to be honest, not of the best quality. Since this is a debut album, you can close your eyes to many shortcomings, but from the standpoint of today's time, it does not withstand any criticism.
