Description: | It was EMI producer Suvi Raj Grubb who not only effectively "discovered" the young Daniel Barenboim for records but also gave him his first chance to conduct an orchestra on record with this cycle of the complete Mozart Piano Concertos, of which this was the first release. The partnership of producer and artist gave rise to many great recordings, including the complete Mozart and Beethoven piano sonatas, as well as the Beethoven Piano Concertos with Klemperer. Recorded on 1-2 January 1967, No. 1 Studio, Abbey Road, London. Mastered from the original master tapes from the Abbey Road Studios this extended resolution CD (XRCD24) from JVC brings the listener higher fidelity and improved audio quality by enhancing the process of mastering and manufacturing compact discs. This XRCD24 is compatible with all CD players. |
