 | Description: | Vinyl LP pressing. Raised amid the rich musical culture and history of the San Francisco Bay Area, Monophonics proudly carry the torch through the generations into today's musical landscape. Holding on to tradition, but by no means purists of any kind, they play their own brand of music known as psychedelic soul. The 2012 release of Monophonics last album In Your Brain saw the band pulling influences from such acts as early Funkadelic, Sly and The Family Stone and the The Temptation's Norman Whitfield produced records. With the 2015 album, Sound of Sinning, the band has grown in all areas of record making and felt a need to explore other important influences. While the group has come to cherish these inspirations, with Sound of Sinning they started venturing beyond, to the groups that were inspiring those soul acts to embrace the psychedelic sound of the 60's and 70's. Bands such as The Zombies, The Beatles, Beach Boys and Pink Floyd. Even with the experimentation of new musical territory, they display the sound that people know and love about Monophonics. Touching on Northern soul, doo-wop, rock 'n' roll, psych pop, and cinematic music, Monophonics show off their diversity while remaining true to their roots. Overall it's heartfelt music and old school vibes, without losing sight of the present. This is music steeped in that timeless feeling when people could write and produce songs that you could listen to over and over again. Sound of Sinning was produced by Kelly Finnigan and Ian McDonald and recorded on an old Tascam eight-track 1/4" tape machine at Transistor Sound Studios in San Rafael, CA., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Acoustic Guitar [6 String], Electric Guitar [12 String], Sitar [Electric], Baglama, Autoharp [Electric], Organ [Optigan], Piano [Acoustic], Synthesizer [Mini Moog], Bells [Tubular], Xylophone, Handclaps, Backing Vocals, Producer, Recorded By, Mixed By, Written-By, Arranged By [Backing Vocals]: Ian McDonald (3), Arranged By [Horns & Strings]: Aaron Johnson, Arranged By [Horns & Strings]: Mike Rinta, Arranged By [Horns & Strings]: Ryan Scott (10), Arranged By [Horns]: Aaron Johnson, Arranged By [Horns]: Alex Baky, Arranged By [Horns]: Daniel Casares, Arranged By [Horns]: Mike Rinta, Arranged By [Horns]: Ryan Scott (10), Backing Vocals: Helen Duncan, Backing Vocals: Komiko Joy, Backing Vocals: Opé Smith, Backing Vocals: Ulrich Kwasi, Cover, Photography [Inside]: Kate Bellm, Drums, Percussion, Handclaps, Backing Vocals, Written-By: Austin Bohlman, Electric Bass, Electric Upright Bass, Bass [Fuzz], Organ [Hammond Home], Handclaps, Backing Vocals, Written-By: Myles O'Mahony, Flute [Solo], Recorded By [Flute Solo]: Max Pinto, Layout: Galine Tumasyan, Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Organ [Hammond], Organ [Farfisa], Organ [Optigan], Piano [Acoustic], Electric Piano [Fender Rhodes], Harpsichord [RMI Electra], Vibraphone, Xylophone, Percussion, Handclaps, Producer, Recorded By, Mixed By, Written-By, Lyrics By, Arranged By [Backing Vocals]: Kelly Finnigan, Lyrics By: Ben L'Oncle Soul, Mastered By: JJ Golden, Mixed By: Sergio Rios, Photography [Band]: John Lill (2), Recorded By [Shawn Lee's Tambourine Vibes Xylophone]: Pierre Duplan, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone: Daniel Casares, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Flute: Alex Baky, Trombone: Aaron Johnson, Trombone: Mike Rinta, Trumpet, French Horn, Percussion, Handclaps, Backing Vocals: Ryan Scott (10), Vibraphone, Xylophone, Tambourine: Shawn Lee, Cello: Lewis Patzner, Viola: Keith Lawrence (4), Violin: Rachel Noyes, Violin: Shaina Evoniuk, Cello: Heather Houseman, Viola: Matt Montgomery (6), Violin: Liz Lasnier, Violin: Steve Gardner (4), Lead Vocals: Ben L'Oncle Soul, Labelcode TSOR1.1 (TSMPLP-001)« Sound Of Sinning (Lim.Ed.) » est un vinyle en édition limitée du groupe acclamé Monophonics et publié par le prestigieux label Transistor Sound.
