Description:Originally released in 1998. MY ARMS, YOUR HEARSE, the third observation by Opeth, was absorbed by the electronical devices at Fredman studios, and captured on tape during August/September 1997. Opeth would like to dedicate this volume to Mr. Lee Barrett. Reissue Notes The "Hearse" was recorded during 4 weeks in the late Summer of 1997. This album has some of Mikaels best vocal work. The growls are almost rap style and announciated with a precision and clarity that works brilliantly for me. Along with some mind blowing riff changes and really earthy textures, thus us as close to Sepulturas as Opeth go.

This is the third Opeth album, still showing a strong death metal influence but with a growing progressive sound, which would become the trademark of the Swedish band. Fine album!

Songs as "When" or "April ethereal" are only some random jewels from this dark experience into pain and memories. Opeth in the late 90s were a bande able to mix Death metal and the darker side of progressive music. Result is a perfect mix Always able to reach the deeper corner of your emotions, balancing long structured songs with memorabile and simple riffs, entwined with great solos. Akerfeldt growl-clean vocals at their best.

álbum iniciático del combo nórdico, aun muy arcaico y oscuro, y no tan progresivo moderno como posteriormente. Se empieza a intuir en lo que se convertirían más tarde con temas más elaborados y maduros.
