Description:
Through all the years of the band's existence (and non-existence) nary a soul would have anticipated the 2007 release of this fifth studio album by the pioneering British punk rock band. Amazingly, the members (all original, plus Darryl Smith, who enlisted in 1992) are still quite close and decided the time had come to issue new studio material, their first in more than a decade. All are proud of the results and as their website states, 'may well be the best thing that we have ever done.' Captain Oi 14 tracks.
"Here We Stand" is a powerful album by the legendary British punk rock band Cock Sparrer, released in CD format by Cherry Red Records. This record showcases the band's signature blend of melodic street punk and anthemic choruses, delivering both raw energy and heartfelt lyrics. "Here We Stand" features standout tracks that reflect themes of unity, resilience, and working-class pride?hallmarks of Cock Sparrer's enduring appeal since their formation in the early 1970s. The band has been widely influential within the Oi! movement and are celebrated for classic albums like "Shock Troops." Cherry Red Records, established in 1978, is renowned for its diverse catalog spanning punk, new wave, indie pop, and more; it remains a respected label dedicated to supporting innovative artists across genres.
The lyrics are great, the band jams well on all tracks, and this is an excellent addition to any PUNK music collection. There is no screaming, no gimmicks, no unintelligible lyrics, or otherwise music that leaves you with a migraine. It is a solid PUNK effort by legends in the genre.
