Das erste Kansas-Album der 80er-Jahre markiert eine Hinwendung zu mehr kommerziellen Klängen. Einige Titel wie "Hold On", "Loner" oder "Got To Rock On" sind arg simpel gestrickt und schielen auf den Massengeschmack. Doch es gibt auch noch Stücke, die an die gute alte Zeit der 70er-Jahre erinnern. Höhepunkt ist zweifelsohne "No One Together", das mit vertrackten Rhythmen und einem gelungenen Arrangement aufwartet. Insgesamt ist "Audio-Visions" nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen.
