Descripción:	Der 18-jährige Frank ist wie elektrisiert, als er im Sommer 1985 im Kino zum ersten Mal den Film äBeatstreet sieht. Ab sofort hat er eine neue große Leidenschaft: Breakdance. Mit gleich gesinnten Freunden gründet er in Dessau die äBreak Beaters. Die Truppe tanzt auf der Straße und bildet bald die Speerspitze der Breakdance-Bewegung in der DDR. Doch schneller als es ihnen lieb ist, wird auch die Staatsmacht auf die Straßentänzer aufmerksam. Und die behält gern die Kontrolle über die Freizeitaktivitäten ihrer Jugend. Denn was die DDR nicht verbieten kann, versucht sie zu kontrollieren. So wird aus Breakdance äakrobatischer Schautanz und die äBreak Beaters werden als Vorzeigetruppe aufgebaut, durch das Land geschickt und bald gefeiert wie Rockstars. Doch der Ruhm hat seinen Preis und Frank wird langsam bewusst, dass dieser ganz schön hoch ist.
