This version of Sunburst comes as a 1xCD. - 2015 release from the post-rock band. It is a dynamic journey containing both bright and generous soundscapes as well as dark and distorted passages. Alongside an introverted, self-reflecting shoegazing post-rock the listener will experience influences from genres such as jazz, folk and 70s psychedelic rock. Deep and repetitive bass lines carry the guitars together with ethereal cymbals and percussive tom-toms. The superimposed drones, noise and synthesizer pads add an electronic dimension that brings bands such as Mogwai and Tortoise to mind. The playful cymbals and jazzy notes will furthermore remind the listener of other post-rock acts like Do Make Say Think, 1 Mile North and Tristeza. There is also a certain progressive and folky rock vibe to the music, a vibe that reverberates other Swedish bands such as November, Dungen and Folkvang.? and © version studio records, 2015.
Comes in a 4-panel Digipak with a transparent tray and a booklet pocket on the left panel - opening inside; no booklet, no lyrics.
Every copy of the Digipak contains a unique and numbered image printed on glossy photo paper. The one hundred different motifs are all images that have influenced and inspired the members of the band in one way or another, compelling [a=Valley (9)] to write the four tracks that make up Sunburst.
Size of the image is 10.2cm x .10.2cm. On the back of the photography is a hand-written sticker with the name of the artist and name of the album and the number of copy (XXX / 300).
