Description:Savage Amusement is the tenth studio album by the German hard rock band Scorpions, released on 16 April 1988. It was the last Scorpions record to be produced by Dieter Dierks. The album was the follow-up to the successful Love at First Sting and had some musical differences when compared to its predecessor. The overall feel of the album shows that Scorpions wanted to experiment a little with some different genres, going to a more radio friendly style and incorporating more synthesized sounds. While there are still some straight heavy-hitting songs, like "Don't Stop at the Top" and "We Let It Rock... You Let It Roll", there are more commercial rock songs such as "Passion Rules the Game". - W/BONUS TRACKS

With Savage Amusement they ditched the harder edged sound and went more of a glossy radio friendly feel, very similar to the big production music of Bryan Adams, Waking Up The Neighbours & Def Leppard's Hysteria, but although it's a good album there was too much polish and not enough power in the groves.

HYUNG RAE K. - 29/May/2022 4 of 5 Stars!
Savage Amusement and Love at First Sting were at the pinnacle of the Scorpions career. At the height of the 80’s “Hair Metal” bands comes this band that had been around since the early 70’s and were still hammering out new and great sounding songs. They along with several other bands stood the test of time and were better for having done that. These two albums were and are my favorite albums from the Scorpions.

Scorpions Savage Amusement is very good hard rock album with some ballads that make them famous worldwide. Not as the powerful albums from the 70's but a good Scorpions - yet.
