Description:Something is an album by Blue Ball Band, released in 1998. The album is a blues CD. -
Led by the German acoustic guitarist/singer Bougui WHEELER, BLUE BALL BAND includes a guitarist, a bass player and some guests (Saxophone, feminine backing vocals...). This band performs a kind of blues-rock-folk, making cover versions of JETHRO TULL's "Locomotive Breath", CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL's "I Put a Spell on You ", an excellent Jimi HENDRIX "All Along the Watchtower", as well as some original titles. The blend of the rough and rasping voice, the flowing and energetic guitar in the style of SANTANA, the percussion played by SWEET SMOKE, which remind of Progressive rock with a touch of blues-rock or Pete BROWN and his energetic blues-rock sounding like Aynsley DUNBAR RETALIATION. a tonic, new and lively Progressive blues-rock with original instrumental combinations (Guitar, saxophone, voice evoking Victor BROX...). a lot of energy and strength.

Valeriy R. - 02/Aug/2020 5 of 5 Stars!
The Bluesy Mind (in fact, MUSEA) edition of the only album (released in 1998) from very unusual German blues rock progressive band. They make specific cover versions as well as their original stuff with the blend of rough voice, energetic guitar, and powerful saxophone. Really interesting!
