With the steady success of Americana roots music and it's effect on American culture, it is inevitable that we hear the echoes of that music back to US from Europe. Sometimes the reflection is so authentic, it can be an even better representation of our domestic faire. Such is the case with the Scarecrows from Trondheim, Norway. This 5-piece band prowls the border between rock 'n roll and classic country rock, successfully pulling off a "Western desert" sound from the icy regions or Northern Europe. With three guitarists (and guest steel guitarist Kjell Karlsen), they sometimes wield a guitar attack comparable to Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Outlaws. The group has several previous independent release that have made their way into the Americana fanbase in the last few years.
