Ninth studio album by the American singer-songwriter, originally released in 1969. Building on the rustic style he experimented with on 'John Wesley Harding' (1967), 'Nashville Skyline' displayed a complete immersion into country music. Along with the more basic lyrical themes, simple songwriting structures, and charming domestic feel, it introduced audiences to a radically new singing voice from Dylan, who had temporarily quit smoking - a soft, affected country croon.
Looks to be the same pressing as the Music On Vinyl version from 2012. (The runout groove even features the MOV catalog number MOVLP 660). But both the backside and the labels feature Legacy logo together with Sony and Columbia. On some copies, the shrink wrap has a black sticker in the upper right corner "Legacy Vinyl" or "We are vinyl". Originally released 1969 © 1969, 2015 Columbia records

It is a very warm and friendly album and has a strong homely feel to it. The album contains a mixture of soft country ballads and up-tempo tracks. Although the style of the album was a surprise to many, Dylan was lauded by critics for this album especially for going down a completely different avenue musically.

The music press are universal in their positive reviews of this, suggesting it is a late career masterpiece. One wonders if this is part of that blindness that strikes music critics at a point where I living legend is producing their last piece of work. How to be objective though? Legendary ALBUM - Highly recommended

That's a great one. Really really loved it. First track brings Johnny Cash singing along with Bob Dylan, it's such a delight to listen. Awesome.
