Am Ende stand ein Studioalbum, an dem gleich drei Ausnahmegitarristen mitgewirkt haben. Das Ergebnis war entsprechend atemberaubend. LOVEDRIVE ist das erste klassische Scorpions-Werk der Zeit nach Uli Jon Roth, und es zeigt bereits all die Charakteristika, die ihre Musik für die kommenden Jahrzehnte auszeichnen sollte: eine nahezu perfekte Mischung aus wunderschönen Balladen, fantastischem Songwriting, harten und aggressiven Power-Riffs und mächtigen Grooves. Auf LOVEDRIVE finden sich Lieder wie â??Holidayâ??, die bis auf den heutigen Tag Publikumslieblinge und Bestandteil eines jeden Konzertes sind.
