The intrepid experimental jazz trio Aka Moon has represented an approach to jazz that has seen them collaborate with a multitude of artists from different backgrounds in their richly filled career. Their new collection 'The Scarlatti Book' is devoted to the music of Italian Baroque composer Domenico Scarlatti. Scarlatti's polyphonic rhythms and harmonic eccentricities present a rich landscape for Aka Moon's explorations accompanied by the pianist Fabian Fiorini.

Music: Fabrizio Cassol, after the sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757) Recorded in September 2014 Stéphane Galland plays Lignum Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Vater Drumsticks & Rathkamp Snare Drum. Fabrizio Cassol plays Brogan Madre Perla Alto Saxophone.
