Description: | Eismeer is an album by Peter Frohmader, released in 2003. The album is a symphonic CD. - Peter Frohmader is one of the most innovative & exciting contemporary composers, since his first album, Nekropolis, released in 1978. During the eighties Frohmader, father of the 'gothic' movement, composed symphonies, soundtracks & ambient music. Initially influenced by Magma or Can, he developed a fully personal electronic music, an approach of Death & Nothingness. As he says, 'Eismeer is a musical expedition, a ship's movements on the sea, set to notes'. Polyrhythmic, Harmonics, disharmonic, create dark & meditative atmospheres, full of intensity & musical science. Very carefully written & performed, here is an exceptional piece of contemporary music. Musea. 2002.Recorded at Nekropolis Studio, Munich, Germany 1996-1997.
Poems & Excerpts by E.A.Poe.
