Description:Fine Line Between is an album by Soundgeist, released in 2009. The album is a rock CD. -
Soundgeist is a progressive - psychedelic band from heraklion (crete) - Greece. The band started from emmanuel zografakis (guitar) and antreas anastopoulos (bass) in may of 2004, working together some ideas. After a while panagiotis mavrakis joined the band on drums. The three of them started rehearsing intensively, the whole summer and autumn. In the end of the year they had the opportunity for a live, in order to make it happen they asked for the help of emmanuel fazos on rhythm guitars. In the beginning of the new year they decided that the sound of synths suited them better, so eleni almpantaki came to the band, which she was replaced shortly after from stelios kanitsakis. A couple of months later dimitris skourtis took the place of singer in the band. The summer of 2005 found the band to participate actively in the local festivals using the name "devils interval" (which was inspired from a musical term). in 2006 the band decided to record their first work "... The fine line between". in october of the same year they started promoting their music in Greek and international music press, while they were searching also for a record deal. In june of 2007 they signed with m.p.& records from Italy and carried on their live appearances besides the difficulties they faced and the temporarily replacements of antreas anastopoulos and stelios kanitsakis from michalis serlidakis and jason grammatikopoulos, due to obligations of the original members. The name of the band comes from 2 words: The English "sound" and the German "geist"(which means spirit).it was inspired from an article of a German web-zine, that used the word in a review of a band, to declare that they had captured the "spirit of sound" of that era.
