Description: | The Game is to be sold, not told... but I'm gonna give you a free course in it! - so begins the vocalization by the master of the blues game, Fillmore Slim, who began as Clarence "Guitar" Sims, the artist who recorded his first 45s in the 1950s on the Dotto label. Over the years though, his career changed course and he became the legendary pimp known as Fillmore Slim. He's back with new 2004 album "The Game," offering listeners a view of the urban street Sims knows all too well. Included are two versions of the title track, one a rap version featuring his son Frank Stick-em, and a blues version that closes the CD. |
