Description:
Trapped! is an album by Rage, released in 2022. The album is a heavy metal CD. -
6th album of the German Power / Heavy / Speed Metal band from Bochum.
Recently I've bought this remastered version of Trapped. I'm not a die hard Rage fan, but they have an impressive back-catalog with hits and misses, Trapped is one of their peak moments. They started out as a rather mediocre heavy/speed band, but with the magnificient trio og Peavy/Efti/Manni they started to pull out some classics, starting with Secrets in a weird world.
About Trapped: the songs are quite versatile, each of them is memorable, no fillers here. The musicianship is over the top: Peavy finally learned how to use his vocals singing in a lower key than before, so the annoying wailing is over; Manni pulls out tremendously great and clever riffs, and his solos are so melodic, that they are songs within songs; Efti is an uderrated drummer, and I can't seem to know why he's not mentioned anywhere. He's in the top league with Jörg Michael, Stefan Schwarzmann etc.
The overall sound of the remaster is great and powerful.
This cd is worth buying, and is a great introduction to newbies.
