 | Beschreibung: | The Rodolfus Choir return to Signum with a stunning new collection of choral works drawn from composers spanning over 500 years. Ralph Allwood MBE introduces the program and the personal inspiration behind it: The concept of time is so rich that it has inspired a large body of writing and musical setting. This collection is a tribute to my father, because I learnt so much about time from him. Mathematician and philosopher, theologian, musician and physicist, he was fascinated by our perception of time, and he and I had many discussions about it's nature. In a trivial sense, music traces the passage of time, but also, as with all events, manipulates it. A watch traces a different pattern of time during events. But who is to say that the watch is 'right'., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Alto Vocals, Countertenor Vocals: Alice Webster, Alto Vocals, Countertenor Vocals: Bryony McIvor, Alto Vocals, Countertenor Vocals: Chris Murphy (20), Alto Vocals, Countertenor Vocals: Ella Venn, Alto Vocals, Countertenor Vocals: George Gibbon, Alto Vocals, Countertenor Vocals: Helena Benthall, Alto Vocals, Countertenor Vocals: Lizzy Hardy, Bass Vocals: Ben Dennes, Bass Vocals: Charles Day (2), Bass Vocals: David Valsamidis, Bass Vocals: Freddie Crowley, Bass Vocals: Henry Griffiths, Bass Vocals: Henry Page (2), Bass Vocals: Jaivin Raj, Bass Vocals: Jo Moore (3), Bass Vocals: Joe Chesterman-March, Bass Vocals: Patrick Barrett (6), Bass Vocals: Peter Norris (2), Chorus: The Rodolfus Choir, Chorus Master, Liner Notes: Ralph Allwood, Design, Artwork: Woven Design, Engineer [Recording Assistant]: Robin Hawkins (3), Engineer, Edited By: Dave Rowell, Producer: Adrian Peacock, Soprano Vocals: Alys Harvey, Soprano Vocals: Charlotte Corderoy, Soprano Vocals: Elspeth Day-Collins, Soprano Vocals: Georgie Gulliver, Soprano Vocals: Hannah Wight, Soprano Vocals: Honor Halford-MacLeod, Soprano Vocals: Isabel Gibber, Soprano Vocals: Juliet Webb, Soprano Vocals: Lorna Price, Soprano Vocals: Miranda Ostler, Soprano Vocals: Miranda Rainbow, Soprano Vocals: Rosie Burgering, Soprano Vocals: Steph Franklin, Soprano Vocals: Victoria Downey, Tenor Vocals: Alex Hume, Tenor Vocals: Brennan Alleyne, Tenor Vocals: Clement Collins-Rice, Tenor Vocals: Laurence Kilsby, Tenor Vocals: Matt Norriss, Tenor Vocals: Robin Randall (2), Tenor Vocals: Sam Harris (18), Composed By: John Tavener, Composed By: Thomas Tallis, Composed By: Gabriel Jackson (2), Arranged By: Edward Chapman, Composed By: Arvo Pärt, Composed By: Gerald Finzi, Composed By: Zoltán Kodály, Composed By: Arvo Pärt, Composed By: William Byrd, Composed By: Orlando Gibbons, Composed By: Thomas Recknell, Composed By: Adrian Cruft, Composed By: Henry Ley, Composed By: Herbert Howells, Composed By: Benjamin Rowarth, Composed By: Thomas Tallis, Composed By: Charles Hubert Hastings Parry, Composed By: Tomás Luis De Victoria, Composed By: Johann Sebastian Bach, Labelcode SGUK445.2 (SIGCD445), Phonographic Copyright (p) Signum Records Ltd., Copyright (c) Signum Records Ltd., Recorded At St. John The Evangelist Church, Upper Norwood | | Anzahl der Titel: |
