Dutch composer Julius Roentgen (1855-1932) composed these solo works for violin and cello and duets combining the two make up a small but influential portion of Roentgen's compositions. Oliver Kipp, violin, and Katharina Troe, cello, bring the pieces to life on this recording. This breadth of this album gives the listener a broad spectrum of Roentgen's compositional styles.
