Description:Import LP 180-gram pressing. Recorded in 1974 as a follow-up to their multi-platinum Burn, Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Ian Paice and Jon Lord forged ahead once again with their trademark hard rock sound and continued their assault on audiences worldwide with Stormbringer. With an apocalyptic entrance, the title track Stormbringer kicks the album into a full gear. Ritchie Blackmore, known for creating some of the fi nest and most familiar guitar riffs in music history, continues his legendary roll with this metal anthem. David Coverdale notches up another career defining song as well, which has also followed him through his amazing run with Deep Purple and his other successful venture with Whitesnake. Eight more incredible performances continue to thrill the listener including the Glenn Hughes melodic classic Holy Man and the rocking hit single Lady Double Dealer, which features the solid back beat of Ian Paice and Jon Lord. The stellar The Gypsy has also became one of the more enduring tunes in their long list of fan favorites, as well as the bluesy ballad Soldier Of Fortune, which showcases the strength of David Coverdale's writing and vocal ability, and is also a fine close out to this long out of print vinyl masterpiece. Mastered impeccably from the original Warner Music tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and Capitol Records in Hollywood with Ron McMaster, Friday Music in very honored and enthusiastic to welcome back the much heralded Deep Purple classic Stormbringer for the first time on 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl in North America. To make this more of a treasure for your Deep Purple collection, we are also including the original album cover art, which also included the band s lyrics and the beautiful artwork illustration by Joe Garnett and John Cabalka, as well as a poly-sleeve to protect your audiophile vinyl and a poly-bag to preserve your album cover.
