Koykkar has received commissions and performances by a number of contemporary music ensembles in North America, including Present Music, Zeitgeist, Synchronia, and the C.A.L. Ear Unit. Koykkar has composed over 100 pieces since the 1970's. He has composed chamber music, orchestral scores, film and video scores, and electronic music.
