Inspired by earth spiders, Requiem For Black Night And Earth Spiders is the 2016 album by Chihei Hatakeyama. Sourced from only a sound file of electric guitar. Earth spider is called in Japan Tsuchigumo. It is a historical Japanese derogatory term for renegade local clans, and also the name for a race of spider-like yokai in Japanese folklore. Hatakeyama thought earth spiders are people who were conquered by Yamato Imperial court at the end of Yayoi Period (3rd Century).
