If the best camera you can pick is the one you have with you then the same applies doubly to tripods. This unit is so portable that I nearly always have it with me. And that counts for a lot. Added to that it works - unlike a lot of it's sometimes cheaper competitors. The best of it's genre I've tried. Always with me
