Description:Sniper by Alan -& Marc Hurtado- Vega, released 2 June 2016, includes the following tracks: "It", "Saturn Drive Duplex", "Sniper", "Sacrifice" and more. This version of Sniper comes as a 1xCD. -
A collision between Suicide's legendary Alan Vega and Marc Hurtado, sonic warrior from Étant Donnés, featuring Lydia Lunch on "Prison Sacrifice." Originally released as a limited LP in 2010; reissued here with one bonus track. Marc Hurtado met Alan Vega at the end of the '80s, and they first worked together in 1999 on four tracks of Re-Up by Étant Donnés (the band formed in 1977 by Marc Hurtado and his brother Eric). They played several shows together in Europe, and in 2009 Marc Hurtado made a film about the visual work of Alan Vega. In 2016 Marc Hurtado finished a feature film about Suicide, the duo of Alan Vega and Martin Rev. Recorded in France (Marc Hurtado), New York's 6/8 Studios (Alan Vega), and Barcelona (Lydia Lunch), Sniper is a few steps ahead of the satellite network and exceeds the wildest expectations at high volume. Imagine Elvis back from the dead riding a rocket against traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge while hurling cryptic slogans about the Civil War, nuclear radiation, Guantanamo, and Treblinka. Vega is in charge of the utterance, in celestial rock star mode, while Hurtado handles the violent, futuristic electro music.
Barcode is identical to the [l15300] reissue of [r10726385]. Gatefold digisleeve. Track 9 is a 'bonus track'.
