You can't talk about heavy metal without talking about Pentagram. The legendary D.C. band has been committed to the dark arts for more than forty-five years, and has only recently seen the kind of recognition it's legacy deserves. Though the band has released nine influential full-lengths over the course of it's career, Pentagram's most popular and influential material since it's Relapse resurrection 15 years ago can be found in First Daze Here, a collection of the band's earliest works that has been out-of-print for years and will now finally see a new reissue via Relapse this coming June. It's companion First Daze Here Too, a 22-track collection of unreleased studio recordings and live rehearsals from the early '70s, will also see it's first reissue since going out of print several years ago. Both reissues have been newly remastered and include in-depth liner notes from founding Pentagram member / original drummer Geof O'Keefe along with gorgeously revitalized layouts. CD Version of First Daze Here includes a Vinyl-shaped CD featuring the two remastered versions of the Macabre 45's original mix.

"First Daze Here Too (2CD Reissue)" is a comprehensive reissue of Pentagram's early recordings, capturing the raw energy and pioneering spirit of one of doom metal?s most influential bands. This 2CD set features rare demos, unreleased tracks, and alternate takes from the band?s formative years in the 1970s, offering fans an authentic glimpse into their creative evolution. Pentagram, formed in Virginia in the early '70s by Bobby Liebling, are widely regarded as trailblazers of American doom metal alongside legends like Black Sabbath. Their cult status has only grown over decades with critically acclaimed albums such as "Relentless" and "Day of Reckoning," influencing countless artists within heavy music genres. The release comes courtesy of Relapse Records?an esteemed label known for its dedication to underground and extreme music since 1990. Relapse has built a reputation for quality reissues and supporting innovative acts across metal, grindcore, death metal, and experimental sounds.
