 | Description: | Digitally remastered edition of the classic 1972 album by legendary Irish musician David McWilliams. David McWilliams first came to prominence with his 1967 classic 'The Days of Pearly Spencer' (later a hit for Marc Almond in 1992). The three albums McWilliams recorded for the Major Minor label in the late 1960s earned him a cult following and a well-deserved reputation as a songwriter. In the early 1970s he signed a contract with Pye Records newly established progressive label, Dawn Records, and would record three albums for the label. His first, released in 1972, was Lord Offaly, arguably the finest of his work for Dawn. The album was dominated by the epic title track, but featured a collection of well-crafted songs. This official release has been newly remastered from the original Dawn master tapes and includes a booklet with liner notes and fully restores the album artwork.? 1972 Sanctuary Records Group Ltd, a BMG Company
