This version of Western Culture comes as a 1xLP.
The vinyl is pressed as a opaque disc. - 180GR LPReR Vinyl present a reissue of Henry Cow's Western Culture, originally released in 1978. The last Henry Cow record made after the group had officially disbanded. "I'm biased of course but I believe this was a milestone recording, and perhaps the closest we came to getting the music to sound the way we wanted on disc." -Chris Cutler Guest appearances by Irene Schweitzer and Anne-Marie Roeloffs.Recorded and mixed at Sunrise Studio, Kirchberg, Switzerland, between 26th July and 8th August 1978, except 1/2 the Sky, Jan 1978.
Misprint: first side has 'History & Prospects' as well as the first movement of 'Day by Day', the second side has the remaining three movements of that piece. Both the centre labels and sleeve are incorrect. |
