Description:D-Link's unmanaged Ethernet/Fast Ethernet Switch DES-1016D increases network performance while providing the user with maximum flexibility. With its 16 autosensing 10/100 Mbit RJ-45 ports, the switch detects the speed of the connected stations and automatically switches between 10 Mbit and 100 Mbit. At the same time, it automatically detects whether half- or full-duplex mode is possible and automatically adjusts to it. For easy network expansion, the user has two MDI uplink ports that allow the DES-1016D to cascade with two additional switches. Up to 4 ports can be combined via the Port Trunking function to a high-speed connection (switch-to-switch or switch-to-server) that is up to 800 Mbit fast in full duplex operation. This allows transmission speeds close to the Gigabit Ethernet range to be achieved, a cost-effective high-speed solution for local backbone networks.
