Description:The present release showcases virtuosic and music transformed for brass and performed by an excellent trombone quartet. Jorgen Van Rijen writes: "Having known each other for many years, we felt the desire to make music and spend more time together. Since all four of us come from different backgrounds, we were curious to see what would happen if we were to bring that together in one quartet. Our first concert as a quartet was during the Slide Factory festival in Rotterdam in 2009. The festival's theme being Meet the World, the organization named us the World Trombone Quartet, symbolizing our different styles and backgrounds and our roots in different parts of the (music) world. Since other festivals have continued to use that name we decided to keep it. We all enjoyed it so much that we kept finding reasons to meet and play together. From these encounters came the idea for this album. We had an invitation to the Arctic Trombone Festival in Tromsø, Norway, and when we were planning rehearsals we found out that all of us were free the whole week. So why not meet in Berlin, rehearse calmly and record an album, Just for Fun? That is what we did and here is the result!", Runningtime: 00:00:00, Bass Trombone: Stefan Schulz (4), Executive-Producer: Fabian Frank, Executive-Producer: Martin Nagorni, Graphic Design [Gestaltung]: Anne Gabriel (2), Graphic Design [Gestaltung]: Dagmar Puzberg, Liner Notes: Joseph Alessi, Liner Notes: Jörgen van Rijen, Liner Notes: Michel Becquet, Liner Notes: Stefan Schulz (4), Photography By [Fotos]: Aurélien Amzallag (2), Producer [Produzent], Engineer [Toningenieur], Edited By [Editing], Mixed By [Mix]: Ingo Petry, Trombone: Joseph Alessi, Trombone: Jörgen van Rijen, Trombone: Michel Becquet, Arranged By: Steven Verhelst, Written-By: Georg Friedrich Händel, Written-By: Daniel Schnyder, Arranged By: New Trombone Collective, Piano [Klavier]: Saori Tomidokoro, Written-By: David Popper, Arranged By: André Lafosse, Written-By: Robert Schumann, Arranged By: Robert Elkjer, Piano [Klavier]: Saori Tomidokoro, Written-By: Claude Debussy, Written-By: Steven Verhelst, Arranged By: Elwood Williams, Written-By: Antonio Lotti, Written-By: Charlie Small, Written-By: Martin Fondse, Labelcode ARTU16004.2 (arc 16004), Recorded At Joseph-Joachim-Konzertsaal Der Universität Der Künste, Berlin, Published By M.
